Why our resident’s will love Riverside Meadow

Riverside Meadow is a brand new, luxury park home development, adjacent to our sister park Newport Park. We know you’ll love it here at Riverside Meadow, but to get a fresh and honest perspective, we spoke to our Newport Park residents to learn more about why they love living in their retirement park homes.

A great community spirit

Living in a residential park retirement home means you’ll be in a caring community of like-minded people of a similar age who are likely to share your interests. This means you’ll have a lot of opportunities to make new friends, host dinner parties, take part in group activities and more.

Our existing residents are extremely friendly and community minded, thriving in the neighbourly environment they have created. They look out for each other without overstepping personal boundaries. If you’re looking for a way to stay social and perhaps make new friends, then a retirement park home could be just what you’re looking for.

A permanent holiday

Living in a retirement park home is like going on holiday – one you don’t have to leave! With fantastic accommodation, social activities and beautiful surroundings that compare to any holiday park you may have visited, our residents love the holiday feeling their park homes provide.

Owning a luxury property

When you retire, it’s not uncommon to feel that your home is simply too big for your needs. By moving to a residential park home, you’ll not only be downsizing to a home that is far easier and cheaper to run and keep, but you’ll also become the owner of a luxury home in the centre of beautiful parkland.

Our residents also love the fact that they own their own home. Unlike moving to a retirement care home, a home at Riverside Meadow keeps you in the housing market. Allowing you to benefit from changes in housing prices and giving you something to bequeath to your family in future. Our residents love the sense of independence and homeliness that they gain from owning their own residential park home, and we know you will too.

Health benefits

It is said by some, that living in a retirement park alongside other people your age, can actually increase your life expectancy – we have had several residents living independently here to over 100 years of age.

A study completed by the International Longevity Centre UK about the life length of residents at a south-west London retirement village, compared life expectancy of residents to the general population. The study showed a marked increase in life expectancy among residents of the retirement home.

While we can’t say for sure how accurate the study is, we wouldn’t be at all surprised if fresh air, an active social life and lots of things to see and do, did indeed contribute to continued good health!

Staying active

Thanks to Riverside Meadow’s fantastic location to the south east of central Exeter on the outskirts of the sought after town of Topsham, the area is teaming with things to do and ways to keep active. Take a walk through the beautiful countryside, hop on a bus to the coast for a day on the beach, or into town to explore the deep and varied history. Or, if you don’t want to go too far, simply walk over the road for a round of golf at the Exeter Golf and Country Park. You’re spoiled for choice at Riverside Meadow.
